Óscar and me presented the graphic novel A Tese de Margot (The Thesis of Margot) at the Vinetas desde o Atlántico Festival in A Coruña. We gave a talk on Tuesday 12 August, sponsored by Librería Komic, where we introduced the historical figure of the german philologist Margot Sponer and discussed our collaborative work on the comic. Óscar explained his research and scrip process, while I described the artistic workflow and visual development. You can learn more, see more photos and some of the pages of the graphic novel here.
It was a fantastic experience, and it was heartwarming to witness the support of the vibrant comic community in Galicia. I would also like to update you that the current edition was supported by the A Coruña City Council and successfully funded through our Verkami crowdfunding campaign. A heartfelt thank you to all the backers for making this possible!
