The Lucky Horn is an unfolding minicomic I created about an unlucky crazy cat with a saw... It's a metanarrative where the characters interact with the reader who will have to follow their instructions to unfold the comic. It's available in English, Spanish, Galician and Italian. The physical experience of reading the paper comic of The Lucky Horn is unique, but I wanted to translate it to digital... so I created the motion comic and you can watch it right here:
This is the motion comic of The Lucky Horn!!! I edited the whole animation in Adobe After Effects. The music is by Blue Wave Theory and the sounds from freesound.org (see end of video for full credits).

I wanted to use a single piece of paper and involve the reader in the narrative. I also restricted the colour palette to black&white and I used classic halftone techniques to simulate grey shades.

This comic is in the anthology Lucky WIP, a compilation of 32 comics made by London-based artists. This anthology is a Mystery Envelope that contains a physical random selection of minicomics and a link to a digital version of all the entries. The Lucky Horn comic is also available in selected book and comic shops in Spain and Italy where you'll find it in Spanish, Galician, Italian and English. Drink&Draw Special Lucky Horn Artwork
