The Lucky Horn is an unfolding minicomic I created about an unlucky, eccentric cat with a saw. This metanarrative invites readers to interact with the characters, following their instructions to unfold the comic. I aimed to use a single piece of paper to involve the reader in the narrative, and I restricted the color palette to black and white. This choice forced me to employ classic halftone techniques to simulate gray shades. The comic is available in English, Spanish, Galician, and Italian.
While the physical experience of reading The Lucky Horn is unique, I wanted to translate it to a digital format, so I created a motion comic, an animation that I've done in Adobe After Effects with music by Blue Wave Theory and sound effects from Free Sound. You can watch it below:
This comic is included in the anthology Lucky WIP, a compilation of 32 comics by London-based artists. The anthology is presented as a Mystery Envelope, containing a random selection of physical minicomics. Read the Broken Frontier review here. Below you can see the cover with some of the sketches that I developed for the quirky characters in my story.
The Lucky Horn opened doors for me in self-publishing, and I would like to express my gratitude to the following locations that supported the distribution of this minicomic: Fiandón Libros de Vello (A Coruña),  A Tobeira de Oza (A Coruña), Librería Sisargas (A Coruña), Alita Cómics (A Coruña), El Café de Macondo(A Coruña), El Baúl De Los Recuerdos (A Coruña), Shogun Salamanca (Salamanca), Letras Corsarias (Salamanca), Biblioteca Torrente Ballester (Salamanca), ZAZÀ Fumetteria (Venezia).

I have designed merchandise featuring the characters from The Lucky Horn. If you’d like to support my work, you can find t-shirts, home products, and even art prints available for shipping worldwide in my RedBubble Shop.

I was one of the guest artists invited to propose a theme for a creative event organized by Gosh Comics and the magazine Broken Frontier. My proposed theme was "To be or not to be" and I created the following drawing featuring one of the characters from The Lucky Horn, this design is now a sticker:
